What is a Recovery Drug Court?

The Recovery Drug Court treatment program involves participants who have been charged with a nonviolent, misdemeanor-level drug offense. Misdemeanor-level drug charges in Ohio include:

  • Possessing or manufacturing drug paraphernalia and drug use instruments
  • Possessing hashish
  • Possessing Schedule III, Schedule IV, or Schedule V controlled substances less than the bulk amount
  • Possessing counterfeit controlled substances
  • Using harmful substances with the purpose of becoming intoxicated or high
  • Permitting one’s vehicle to be used for the commission of a felony-level drug offense

What does Recovery Drug Court treatment involve?

The levels of care required vary for each participant in the Recovery Drug Court program, ranging from residential treatment and partial hospitalization to intensive outpatient treatment
